How do you string a tennis racquet and is a table top Gamma Progession II 602 be fine?

Tennis is my favorite sport and I want to help out for my high school team and my local club. If I could learn to string racquets I can help out all around the tennis community. The Racket stringer I’m getting (Gamma Progession II 602) at tennis warehouse where I buy all my tennis supplies, Is only 300$ and comes with 150$ worth of accessories. It looks worth the money but since I’m having a bar-mitzvah soon I’m wondering if it’ll be worth getting a more expensive one.

Hi Ben, Gamma is an excellent choice. Top of the line quality and workmanship. As for picking one I would suggest the X ES. It is a constant pull electric which means that if you string with any string that looses tension quickly even in the initial stringing phase the constant pull will provide you with a more accurate string job than the drop weight 602 or the crank lock out 5003(pulls to desired tension then stops allowing tension loss). They are all fine machines made by Gamma but the constant pull electric has many added benefits that someone who will be stringing racquets for others would appreciate. It is more expensive but no where near the cost of some of Gamma’s other machines and a good investment for a young tennis enthusiast as yourself.

I have answered stringer type questions on here before

Hope I have helped and best wishes for the upcoming bar-mitzvah.
