What are my chances of admission into Harvard?
Hello there,
I am currently a high school freshman, and I took the PSAT this year, and received a 193 out of a possible 240.
I am also on my school’s speech and debate team(Leland High, rank number 2 in the nation), and plan on doing it for the entire 4 years of hs, and i am also in Key Club(Project coordinator next yr)/Red Cross Club(class rep next yr)/math team/Peer tutoring(98 hrs this year)/French Club(secretary next year)/and probably VP of Amnesty International next year.
I plan to stick in the same clubs all throughout hs(as well as hold office position);I’m going to be on the badminton and cross country team starting from next yr and on.
My other activities include a Level 10 CM certificate for Piano theory(highest level) and 7 years worth of table tennis training so far.
Oh, and i’m also planning to be on school newsppr next yr – aiming for editor-in-chief senior yr.
What do you think my chances into Harvard are?

Your race has nothing to do with it. You’re a freshman, which means that you have at least two more years of classes to take until you know roughly how good your chances to get into any school are. I would suggest that you ask yourself what it is that you want to study and then go from there rather than blindly pursuing Harvard. Harvard, while it is a good school, is not number one in all subjects. If you want to study science/math, consider a different school. If you are pursuing International Relations, Harvard is only ranked 7th in the US/World.
Don’t put the cart before the horse.
